New retail product

Orleans House and Gallery have just commissioned South London design duo Lush Designs to create a bespoke tote bag for the Gallery shop. Lush, who are know for their playful illustrations, have developed a wonderful print which captures the historic houses along this stretch of the Thames. view project…

Jewellers in the Archives

Nicola Malkin recently worked on a project with London Metropolitan University undergraduates studying Jewellery and Silversmithing Design. The students had two weeks to design and produce an object, or piece of jewellery. They were asked to take inspiration from books, objects and ephemera held in the Library’s collection to create a work that explored an issue of concern to women in the past or present.
